Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Adullum Labs Inc. (“we”) about DeathSnail. By playing, you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't play.

1. Who can play

You must be 13 or older. If you're under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.

2. The game

DeathSnail is a game. Terry is fictional, and so is dying: when Terry catches you, your game ends, and nothing else happens. Each account has one Terry, for good. There is no second snail.

3. Play safely

Watch where you're going. Never play while driving or cycling.
Don't go anywhere you aren't allowed to be, or anywhere unsafe, to get away from Terry. Terry is slow: there's always time to walk somewhere sensible.
You're responsible for where you go and what you do while you play.

4. Your account

Your account is anonymous and lives on your phone. If you delete the app or lose your phone, we can't bring it back.
You can delete it whenever you like, in Settings. While Terry is still hunting you, that counts as fleeing.

5. Fair play

Don't cheat: no faking your location, no modified versions of the app, no automation, and no exploiting bugs. We may end, reset or remove a game that breaks these rules, and take it off the leaderboards.

6. Names

Your display name is public. Don't choose one that's offensive, hateful, sexual or harassing, or that pretends to be someone else, including us. We may change or remove any name, and other players can report names to us.

7. Purchases and ads

“Remove the banner ads” is a one-time purchase through the App Store or Google Play, under their terms, including their refund policies. It removes the banner on the map; the optional salt ads stay. You can restore it in Settings.
Salt, earned by watching an ad, stops Terry for an hour. Salt, and everything else in the game, has no cash value and can't be traded or sold.
The game shows ads from Google AdMob. Our privacy policy explains what that involves.

8. Changes and availability

We may change the game, including its rules, or stop running it. We work hard to keep it fair and online, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. If you think Terry caught you unfairly, write to us at hello@adullumlabs.com.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The game is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything that happens to you or your property while you play, and our total liability to you is limited to what you've paid us in the past 12 months. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer law.

11. Ending

You can stop playing and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and tell you in the app if the change matters. Playing after that means you accept the new terms.
